Hello, I require being able to control the master clock tempo in bpm increments of plus/minus 1.0 or 0.5, but I'd like to be able to control it from a footswitch/controller of some sort, with the ability to dynamically manipulate tap tempo, tempo up, tempo down, save tempo to preset, next/previous preset, etc. so that I can send an analog click to the band IEMs hands-free (bass player here) and sync midi based effects pedals. The use case is for live settings where I do not use a laptop or tablet app.
The closest I've come to an ideal solution is a Beat Buddy with external midi controllers, but there's only one metronome sound with the BB and the Nome seems to be a much more versatile device barring the feature listed above. Is this a possible add-on?

Thanks for asking here. I think the Nome would suit your usecase pretty well.
The coming firmware for the Nome (Firmware 5.0) will add BPM decimals, from x.00 to x.99.
There are many ways you can change the tempo, using the buttons on the device, one or two footswitch, a drum pad (like the ones on an electronic drum kit, or a drum trigger), or by sending MIDI Commands from a controller. For now you can only send MIDI Commands over the USB cable, so you would need a phone/tablet with an adapter, or a MIDI DIN to USB host adapter (for example the Kenton MIDI USB host). Then you can use any app like OnSong or BandHelper to control the Nome.
(the plan is to release a small add-on module with a MIDI DIN input, but there is no ETA for that)
You can also program tempo & time signature presets, and then recall them however you'd like, also using control/footswitch/MIDI.
Feel free to skim through the Nome Manual or check out the Youtube videos to learn a bit more about what the device can and cannot do
