Hello!
Is anyone using UADs DAW Luna?
I've had success using the old Midronome plugin but would love to get USync working with Luna.
Thanks!

Re: UADs Luna and Usync
Hi Nate
Was that you who asked about Luna over email?
Luna is not officially supported unfortunately. My guess though is that it's not tons of work to get it to work, it's more a matter of testing it and adjusting a few things. Have you tried running the plugin in Luna?

Re: UADs Luna and Usync
Hi Simon,
Yes that was me.
I'm having more success with Luna atm than Logic.
Just for you're info, I am running the USync plugin and:
- I have managed to get Luna's click and the Midrome's click to match up (had to set the Shift setting to 8.5ms)
- I have the Buffer Size at 256 and Input Delay Compensation set to Medium.
- The main issue is that the USync only stays on for a limited time. However, USync doesn't turn off; the power button remains on but the main part of the plugin 'greys out' and it shoes that the 'Plugin is disabled/bypassed'.
- In order to play/record I have to open the plugin, press the on switch twice (once to actually turn it off, then turn it on), and then I have about 10 seconds before the plugin greys out again. If I press play/record in this time, everything lines up, however it will switch off.
So I can record in time. I just have to get everything going before the plugin greys out.
Thanks Simon,
Nate

Re: UADs Luna and Usync
Ha ha, that does not sounds so practical
But now that you have solved your issues with Logic, can you simply use it or would you still prefer using Luna?
As I said we can consider adding support for it, getting it to work is probably just a matter of finding out why the DAW is not calling the plugin like it should (which would cause the "plugin is disabled" screen), and correcting it. The problem after that is: this will be one more DAW to support. And as you have seen each new version requires a lot of testing , together with each new OS, hardware, etc. So let's see if other people from the community would like to use this DAW as well

Re: UADs Luna and Usync
I was thinking of making the switch to Luna. But I guess see how it goes and if there's a call for it to be supported then that would be great.
Hopefully it will just work if the plugin gets updated.
Cheers Simon,
Nathan
