Hi,
I have a use case which I wouldn't imagine to be that unusual: in my band, we prefer to have beat 1 accented by a different click sound. However, the time signature changes multiple times in some of our songs and in those cases we would like to keep the "1" the same sound as all the other beats. So in an ideal world, some of our presets would have a different click sound for the "1", whilst other presets would have the same.
Is this something that could be implemented?

Re: Click sounds saved in presets
Hi - thanks for the suggestion.
I am afraid this is not possible with the current hardware, and also way too specific to be an actual part of the firmware.
One thing that we could potentially add is a MIDI Command to be able to change the click sound from another MIDI device. How would that work for you?

Re: Click sounds saved in presets
Makes complete sense to me that click sounds config should be part of the presets and that practical use of various time signatures at various tempos calls for different metronome sounds.
It could work by having secondary PrM advanced menu, that would also store the indexes of the current CL.1 and CL.2 into the preset, while the current PrE menu would keep those fields empty.
Preset recall would then either change the click sounds if non-empty indexes are stored or keep the current ones if the indexes are empty.
The display could differentiate between both type of presets by the commas between the P.x.x., i.e. P01 for presets without click indexes and P.0.1 for presets with click indexes.

Hi Simon,
Thank you for your reply. I will look into whether the MIDI Command would work for my band and get back to you.
Also let me just say how awesome it is that you've built this thing, and read these forum posts and try to solve users' problems. Thank you for everything!
