Start when pedal down, stop when released

I want my Nome II to start my Roland TR-08 when I press the connected momentary footswitch and stop it when I release the footswitch. I can get it to start with one press, and stop with another, but I want it to play ONLY when the footswitch is held down. I have firmware 5.2, can I accomplish what I want somehow?

Thanks for asking here. There is no official support for this, but I believe that it will do what you want if you configure your pedal input as "latching" - i.e. change the advanced setting "PE.t" set to "Lat" instead of "Sus" (sustain).
You can see how to change settings and the settings list in the Nome Manual - section 3.5 (advanced settings).
