Hi there
I searched the forum a little bit but didn't find a clear answer to my setup-question. I would like to use the Nome II as a Metronome with a Setlist (internal temp presets) and I would like to use i.e. an SPD-SX (or other Drumcomputer with Midi-out) to control start, stopp and change preset (+/-). Is that possible?
The second part of the setup/question is: is there a way to edit the presets through a computer? (setup new presets, move them around, maybe even save and reload them?).
Thanks for your help!

Re: Start/Stop/Change Tempo-Preset with SPD-SX and Tempo-Preset editing
Hi Patrik
Thanks for asking here
The Nome can do all sorts of actions (including start/stop and change presets) if you sent special MIDI CC messages to it. See the full list on the Nome manual. It does not have a MIDI input, so these messages need to be sent on the USB port: this is possible using a "MIDI USB host" adapter, like the Behringer Go Midi Host, or the Kenton MIDI Host. Then you will have to configure your SPD to send specific messages when you hit a certain pad, and send that MIDI from the SPD to the "MIDI USB host" adapter, and to the Nome.
Regarding your second question, yes this is something we would like to implement in the future in our Config Tool ( https://simntonic.com/support ). But this project has quite a lot priority, there is no way to know when this would happen. For now you will have to do it manual on the device using the settings.
Please note that the Metronome is highly configurable, you can change the time signature to add subdivisions and upload your own custom click sounds if you want using the Config Tool

Hi Simon
Great, thanks for your fast response!
Just a quick follow up: would just a regular USB (class compliant) Midi Interface like a "iConnectivity mioXC" work as well?
Thanks
Patrik
