Hello
I’ve just received my Nome and would like to know the easiest way to sync Ableton to the Cirklon and out to hardware syths and drum machines.Any help would be really appreciated.I’m fairly new to this and getting a bit lost.Thanks.

Hello!

Well thank you for asking here, and yes syncing your Cirklon with Ableton should be easy!
Are you on Mac or Windows?

Either way, you can start by making sure the Cirklon is synced to the Nome in standalone: connect a MIDI cable and set the Cirklon to follow MIDI Clock. Then you should be able to control your Cirklon from your Nome, both tempo and start/stop.

The next step is to sync the Nome to Ableton, which is different if you are on Mac or Windows.

Well on Mac it could not be easier as you have U-SYNC.

Make sure to do the step mentioned above first.

Once this is working, sync your Nome to your Mac with U-SYNC:
1. Install the software
2. Load the plugin in Ableton on a track (any track really)
3. Record and check the latency, if there is any you can adjust it in the plugin using the "Shift" slider.

For the best results, make sure that you follow the Ableton settings written in the U-SYNC manual sectino 5.1.

4. If you want bi-directional sync, check section 6 of the U-SYNC manual.

Let me know if you have any troubles!
