I'd love an option where the tempo display can switch to a countdown mode for the LCD number on the right — for example, every 8 bars so you don't miss the right spot for a drop.
It would also be great if the left side and centre LCD "numbers" could show what beat that measure/bar is on. Rather than having a number like the bar countdown, it would be cool if the segments could show the beat as some kind of left-to-right, multi-line, calendar-style progression; or have some kind of circular option.
Sometimes when I'm improvising a live set, I get distracted and lose count of what measure I'm on, so this would help to make sure I'm not dropping early or late. Anybody else every wish they had something like this?

There is still no count-down but FW 4.5 added a new "count-in" mode where you press play and you get exactly 1 bar of count-in from the metronome before you play.
You can even configure the blinking LED of the "TAP" button (on Nome II only) to start blinking when you press so you have both a visual and sound cue.
