Midi clock constant

Post by benjaminam »

Hi there, looking to add a master clock to my setup(again). I do have one question about clocks. It would be nice if I could set one of the midi outs to always be sending a clock no matter the state of the start/stop. This out would be dedicated to time based effects that need a constant midi clock. it would be nice if the clock signal started immediately with the power up of the device. Is this feature available with the Nome?
Thank you.

Yes, that's the default behavior :)
You can now (since FW 4.0) change it to only send Clock after pressing Play, but by default the clock is constantly sent.

Perfect! I got rid of my Midronome in a gear purge a few months back thinking that I could simplify my setup. I guess I’ve been missing it since. I just ordered the Nome 2! All hail USB C

Ha that is a funny story! :D

You'll like the upgrade though, especially that Tap Tempo button, much more "tap" like than the previous clicky button.
And yes USB-C - well that's what the people wanted, if it was up to me, it would be chunky USB-B forever...
