Hello!
I have the current firmware and software installed on my mac for U-SYNC. The program indicates that it sees my midronome and the firmware is up to date. In Ableton i have the plugin loaded onto a midi track which shows the correct midronome skin and indicates a yellow lock on play.
Unfortunately the actual midronome device does not lock tempo and only diplays/sends the tempo that is selected by the dial. Cant for the life of me understand what is wrong or out of sync. I have deleted the software and reinstalled, unplugged the device several times, restarted ableton, etc etc. Need help getting this thing to sync up.

Midrinome U-SYNC Ableton 12 issues
Re: Midrinome U-SYNC Ableton 12 issues
Hi
Sorry to hear about the trouble - but I am sure we can sort it quickly.
What does the U-SYNC daemon shows? And when you press Play in your DAW, does your Midronome's "Locked" LED turn on?
(it should match the "Locked" LED on the plugin).
Are you also on the latest firmware? (3.2 currently, or 4.0 if you wait a couple of days...
)
You can update your device from the U-SYNC Daemon.
Also - could you please try to delete all "Midronome" in your MIDI Audio Setup? This might be needed after a firmware update to "refresh" the names on your Mac.
Feel free to check the "troubleshooting" section of the manual as well.
Let me know how it goes
Cheers
Simon

Re: Midrinome U-SYNC Ableton 12 issues
Hey!
Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately i have followed all the troubleshooting instructions as well as the things you listed below. My U-SYNC Daemon shows the midronome connected and the daw connected, however when play is pressed the unit does not show a "locked" LED. The daemon confirms the latest firmware (3.2) when checking for updates and I have already deleted all midronome devices from my Audio Midi and replugged the device in. I have attached pictures below of everything.

Ok, this is a first, troubling!
Simple thing, but I don't remember seeing it anywhere in the conversation: have you tried restarting the daemon? Either with the "restart Daemon" or maybe closing the daemon application entirely and then restarting the daemon, then the DAW, then reloading the plugin.
And can you show me what audio interfaces show up in the Audio MIDI Setup? And what MIDI interfaces show up in Ableton?
Cheers
Simon

Re: Midrinome U-SYNC Ableton 12 issues
Hey,
I came across this thread because I ran into a very similar issue to etrav yesterday. I couldn't control the tempo or sync Ableton with Nome II. I tried reinstalling, resetting, and following all the steps described in the forum and manual, and also a firmware update on Nome II, but the problem persisted.
It turned out that the culprit was ACE (Audio Capture Engine), which used to act as a Core Audio driver, specifically the SoundSource software from Rogue Amoeba. I followed the exact steps mentioned in this thread, and it solved the issue:

Today, I plan to test the latest version of this software since I haven’t updated it in about a year—let’s see if they’ve fixed the issue.
Check if you have any similar software that might be affecting Core Audio.

Re: Midrinome U-SYNC Ableton 12 issues
Awesome, thank you so much for the info!
I will add the info to the Nome manual
U-SYNC is heavily relying on CoreAudio, so I am not surprised that changing the CoreAudio driver affects it.

Re: Midrinome U-SYNC Ableton 12 issues
Just a heads-up: you can use SoundSource and U-Sync after updating the app to the latest version for your macOS (I have Monterey 12.7.6) and making the relevant settings in the app.
Re: Midrinome U-SYNC Ableton 12 issues
Awesome - I'll put that too
Thank you!

Thank you!
