Is it possible to forward and record midi data into your DAW

Hi im using u-sync to sync my drum machine and synth to my daw (ableton) is it possible to foward the midi data going into the nome from my synth into ableton so i can record the midi notes as well? i realize my synth isnt sending any midi data out of its midi out port, if its not possible to forward and record the data out to my synth with the nome. Whats my best option to record it at the same time without latency?

I'm not so sure I understand - you said your synth does not output any MIDI, but you also wrote that you want to record the midi data "going into the nome from your synth".

I am guessing your setup is DAW with U-SYNC -> Nome -> synth , which sends MIDI Clock to get your synth on time. Then your synth generates a sequence, without sending its MIDI notes. Correct?

If that's the case, there is nothing you can do except record the audio output of your synth - if it does not send you the MIDI data, we cannot create it out of nowhere
Or did I misunderstand?
