Will there be any future firmware updates for the Midronome 1 ?

Considering there are no major architecture or software changes, I see no reason why Nome I and Nome II shouldn't share the updates.

Yes for now all firmware updates will come for both devices.
At some point Nome I (Midronome) will start to be outphased. But don't worry, not anytime soon, and it will be a slow process, and I will make sure to warn you at least 6 or 12 months before the end of support. And who knows by that point maybe the device would have matured so much that there won't be much need for new features. And there has been extremely few firmware bugs (only one in fact, which was corrected in FW 1.1), that I would not worry about running on an old firmware in 15 years time
