Hi Simon!
Im curious if it would be useful to implement an option that would allow one Midi Din output to continuously be on w/ start and stop commands and have the other output “Follow Play”. This way one output could be dedicated for Tempo based effects(hardware), and the other for more general midi devices. This would minimize the Midi data stream when play is not engaged and maintain the tempo for the devices that need it

Thanks for the suggestion
I am not sure if there is a real need for it (even for you?), but let's see if others have the same thought as you

I like the idea a lot, conceptually.
Pragmatically, as Simon says, there doesn't seem to be a real need / use for it.

Yeah, the situation that i find myself in might not be terribly common. I use a few different MPE controllers which take up alot bandwidth. When I merge this with a clock, i feel like some info might get discarded due to a data glut. Having an option to shut off the midi clock when not used seems like it makes sense.
