Hi here,

Since Simon upgrade to 1.5 I decided to connect my midronome MK1 with the intention to to control Ableton 10 tempo with U-sync. I checked all settings, but impossible to make it work, even if all were good. I was able to control Midronome tempo with Ableton but not Ableton with midronome. Same thing with Ableton 11.
I checked if the problem was with ableton and it seems that bidirectional sync just work with Ableton 12. In my set up, I use A10 as master tempo. Now I want to control A10 tempo with midronome and I don’t know how. If anybody have a suggestion I would take it thanks

Hi :)

Unfortunately Ableton 10 is no longer officially supported. U-SYNC will work but not the bi-directional part (i.e. controlling the tempo/transport from the Nome).

So yes you need to upgrade to 11 or 12.

fun fact : if you put U-sync on Ableton 10 and use link to sync it with ableton 12 you can use bidirectional. I can now use in a way bidirectional with ableton 10 but only if 12 is active. tell me if you want a video ^^

Yes that makes sense - the U-SYNC plugin on Live10 communicates to the Nome and the Nome communicates back to Live10 via the Control Surface on Live12 -> sent to Live10 over Link.

We will investigate why Live11 is not working and get back to you here :)

PS: if you have not already, make sure you have the latest U-SYNC version (1.4.1) and the latest Nome Firmware (5.0). You can check both those in the U-SYNC Daemon tray icon.
