Question re Hardware and Ableton

Post by Trovarsi »

Hello,

I am connecting the Nome II to my TR1000 and Push 3 Standalone, and it's not syncing properly. I tried adjusting the ms from the plugin and nothing is happening. I also tried adjusting from the midi clock settings in the preferences in Ableton and still nothing is changing. Everything else is working in terms of starting and stopping both Ableton and the TR1000 with the play button on the Nome II, so I'm not sure what else I should do. I could run the ubs clock to the TR1000 and that works fine, but that defeats the purpose of using the Nome since I would like to clock my modular with the Nome II as well.

I would like to keep TR1000 on channel 1 on the DJ mixer; and Push 3 on Channel 2; and Modular on Channel 3, so I don't want to run TR1000 audio into Ableton. Do you have any suggestions on how to get it to work? Thanks!

Hi :)

Thanks for asking here. How are you syncing the Nome and Ableton together? With U-SYNC? If so, you should not use the MIDI settings at all (especially nothing checked in "sync"). Then make sure Delay Compensation is actually on, and adjust the latency in the U-SYNC plugin.Check the U-SYNC manual for more details and others settings you can try in Ableton, depending on what you are trying to do.

Unfortunately, the TR1000 requires a huge latency adjustement (about -50ms), which means your other machines will probably be 50ms early once the TR-1000 is on time with Ableton. To solve this you would need individual latency adjustement, which is a topic that has been discussed here: https://forum.simntonic.com/viewtopic.php?t=207

Search also the forum for the TR-1000 as there are tons of topic about it :)
