Extra Bar before sync with Ableton 12.2.5

Just picked up a Nome am having some challenges with the U-Sync software. It is going a full bar before the sync starts when using Ableton 12.2.5.

Also, I am having to click on sync on the output of Nome II in order for the software to sync. This is contrary to the instructions in the manual.

When I do not have the U-Sync loaded to a midi channel , the extra bar before syncing is not present.

Can someone help with this ?

Hi :)

You should not need the "sync" or "EXT" set in Ableton, the sync is done via the U-SYNC plugin entirely. The extra bar usually means that U-SYNC is "missing" the begining of the first bar, so in order to stay in time it syncs one bar later. But with the correct settings this should not happen.

Please make sure the "A.PL" setting is not set to "OFF" on your Nome.

Then try to follow the steps from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I31ZiWl2JiU

If that does not work, your best shot is to go back to the U-SYNC manual, read the steps carefully and do them step by step, and start with an empty session :)
It should really not be very difficult, in short load the U-SYNC plugin, check it is connected, and make sure your Ableton settings are set correctly. Then record, measure the latency, and adjust accordingly in the U-SYNC plugin.
