Short description of the issue:

I've upgraded my Midronome to the latest firmware and installed the latest version of U-Sync. I can no longer sync

Setup (devices connected and how):

Midronome connected to Mac M3 via USB. Mac running Reaper

Steps to Reproduce:

- Connect Midronome
- Open Reaper
- Create Virtual Instrument Track and choose U-sync VST-3
- Disable Anticipatory FX for Track
- Hit play in Reaper
- Midronome doesn't sync
- Check Plugin. Locked is not lit.
- Check Midronome: Locked is not lit
- Open S&T Daemon from Mac menu at top of screen.
- Displays Daw Connected
- Click Midronome Connected > Update > Displays Up to date

Expected Behavior:

Midronome syncs w/ Reaper

Actual Behavior:

Midronome does not sync

Nome generation (I or II) and Firmware version:

Nome v1, Firmware 4.6

Tried restarting Mac and Midronome. Tried recreating track. Tried deleting and adding U-sync plugin

Hi Pedr, I moved this to the "questions" forum as this is not a bug. U-SYNC works perfectly fine with Reaper, including the newest version

This sounds like somehow the Daemon/Plugin/MIDI Setup got confused. You probably just need a clean up after the upgrade.

Could you please try the following:
* Unplug your device
* CLose the U-SYNC Daemon and Reaper
* Open Audio MIDI Setup, open the MIDI Studio
* Delete everything called Midronome or Nome or Sim'n Tonic
* Re-plug your device
* Check that you can see "Midronome" with 3 inputs and 3 outputs
* In the audio devices check that you can see "Do-not-use-001"
* Start the U-SYNC daemon and Reaper, load the plugin

If that does not help, I would suggest the following extra steps:
* Close Reaper, the Daemon, Uninstall U-SYNC fully
* Delete all files with "U-SYNC" in their name in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ and /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
* Restart the computer
* Then reinstall, make sure to install version 1.3, and try again

Thanks for replying.

Neither of those worked I'm afraid.

Midronome is there in the Midi Control Center.

Btw When I hit play in Reaper, the plugin flashes and I can very briefly see the Plugin is disabled/bypassed message.

This could be caused by another software getting in the way of U-SYNC.
People previously reported ACE/SoundSource having that issue, but there could be other software doing that.

What is your precise OS version and Reaper version? Any chance you can try it on a different DAW?

I've upgraded Reaper to 7.43/MacOS-arm64 and I'm still not getting a sync.

OSX Sonoma 14.4.1

I think you need more precise help for this. The best would be for you to post a video showing all the setup in Reaper, the U-SYNC Daemon, on the Facebook group ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/simntonic ) as unforutnately it is not possible to post videos here.

You can film the video from your phone, but please make sure it is clear and that you can actually see the screen properly, and the the Nome.
