DAW audio latency and delaying clock per output

After a long time using my Nome I for syncing my synths/modular/DAW for tracking I caught myself in hot waters when preparing for a live set.

The setup is hybrid, using a DAW (Bitwig), a modular (with a ES-9 soundcard), and 2 hardware boxes (Analog Rytm and Octatrack), for recording stems into the DAW it all works pretty well, the Nome keeps the sync tight, my recordings are on the grid, etc.

For the live set I'm using the DAW as a FX processor + mixer for the ES-9 inputs, outputting the DAW sounds through the ES-9 and into the Octatrack, the issue is that using a DAW inevitably will introduce some audio latency (even at 32 samples) and it's really noticeable when I record a 4/4 kick from the modular into the Octatrack.

Finally, my question is: is it in any way possible to adjust latency per output of the Nome I? I would still need my analog clock out (which syncs the modular case) to be exactly as it is, and add some latency to the clock out from the Nome's MIDI ports (syncing the Analog Rytm and Octatrack) to compensate for the DAW processing audio latency.

Or if anyone else has a different idea for a solution, I'm all ears :D

Cheers!

Hi Victor :)

That's a very interesting yet very specific issue :)
What you are looking for is this feature: viewtopic.php?t=207
But unfortunately I doubt this will ever make it to the device's firmware. I think it would make more sense as an add-on module (see thread), in fact it could even make sense as a standalone solution that takes a MIDI Clock and delays it by x ms (hmmm when I think about it this is a very interesting idea... 8-) ).

As for other solutions: as I understood the problem is that the analog stuff is too early (because it does not have the DAW latency), correct? Is there a way you can put that audio through the DAW as well to add the same latency?
