Software Tool and version: Sync File Generator 0.1-beta
Operating System and version: MacOS 11.7.6
Short description of the issue: When generating a sync file, the first pulse seems to be missing - not sure if this is important or not
Steps to Reproduce: Open app and generate an 8 bar file at 120 bpm and 4/4 time at 48kHz. Drop file into DAW and zoom in.The first pulse is missing.
Expected Behavior: The first pulse should not be missed?
Actual Behavior: The first pulse is missing.
Again I'm not sure this is the desired result as I don't have a device yet.
First pulse is missing in sync file
Re: First pulse is missing in sync file
Thanks for reporting it!
This is normal and expected but just in case I'll leave the bug open until you get the device and can check it syncs correctly

Re: First pulse is missing in sync file
Can I ask what the reason is for not sending the pulse on the first beat?
Re: First pulse is missing in sync file
Ha ha You will see when you get the device, as I wrote in the other post, DAWs are very unpredictable. I just noticed that some DAWs send some random pulses when start or stopping so to be safe there is empty space at the beginning and end of the file.
Notice that the sync will only start on the next bar anyways, so actually all pulses before that high pulse (the one just before the bar) do not matter much - they tell the Midronome to stop the internal clock and get ready for syncing.

Moved to "questions" since this is not a bug
