Hello,
I picked up a 2nd OG Midronome on the used market. Using the "Upgrade Midronome Bootloader Step 1.exe" updater, it stops and displays "5" when trying to update to the "upgrade-bootloader-v99.9.midr" bootloader. It looks like the original owner never updated this box, so I need to update the bootloader before I can update to the current firmware.
Same result on 2 different computers. I'm a bit stuck at this point.

Re: Bootloader update failing
Well 3rd computer did the trick. I have a suspicion it might be related to the new Windows MIDI updates that are in the works. I keep the 3rd system offline and compared the usb device drivers after the successful bootloader update.

Hi Eric!
Thanks so much for the valuable information! We have done a bit of testing with the new Windows MIDI Drivers, but did not get to test this old procedure (most Midronome are updated now, this must be one of the last ones).
But really great to know - let me know if you encounter any other issue
