I would like to suggest / request that the SYn function be an optional setting that can be turned off or disabled.
I am using the Nome II as master clock with two pedals (tap and start/stop) to control a drum machine and some synth sequences that are playing along with a live band. Nome II allows me to tap along with the music so the synth and drum machine stuff stays in time, syncing machines to the live music rather than the musicians having to play in time with the synth, which is how it always has been. The Nome II is AWESOME in this regard.
With Firmware 5.3, the start / stop button and pedal have a re-sync/rewind (SYn) function that triggers after the pedal is held down for 0.3 seconds. Because the pedal is waiting 0.3 seconds for a possible SYn, MIDI Start is only sent when you lift your foot off the pedal, not when you press the pedal down. I know this sounds a little precious but when you're tapping tempo down on one pedal, the brain wants to tap down on the other (start) pedal to start the sequencer(s). Without knowing what would be involved it seems like a pretty small ask for a pretty huge advantage. Please make this adjustment! I had to revert back to Firmware 3.2 with the help of Simon (thank you!!!) but I'm missing out on some newer features. Anyway please consider.

Re: Pedal Polarity and SYn
Thanks for posting here! We'll definitely consider
This is simple and easy to implement. The problem is more that this will be yet-another-setting packed into such a small device. Too many options and settings confuse new users.
Another option would be to remove the resync option for one pedal (for example only pedal 1 or only pedal 2), so that by choosing which pedal you use you can decide if you want the resync function (and its problematic polarity) or not.

Re: Pedal Polarity and SYn
Thank you Simon!
Your customer service is excellent and the Nome II is a great product. I think a lot of players will want to use the footswitch for playing with a band, and I think a lot of users will want to start and stop their machines and also use your magic formula to tap (and ALIGN!!!) the tempo.
This is why I'm recommending making the start stop work without e-sync/rewind being active. Tapping down is most natural so it's counter intuitive to release the footswitch to start clock when you've been tapping down to tap tempo. I think a lot of players would agree with me. That said, you got me onto an earlier firmware and solved my problem for now, so thanks again!!!
