Hi i am a new Nome 2 user
my goal is to be able to track out beats from my
vintage samplers SP1200 and some old MPC's ( 3000, 2000XL , 1000 )
So far i am testing Nome 2 with EMU SP1200
after couple of days trying to figure out correct Ableton and U-Sync / Nome settings
here are some observations:
1) couldn't get Nome to start Ableton recording : finally solved by enabling Autoplay in settings
A.PL .. bot ( booth) if A.PL is set to OFF than Nome doesn't start Ableton
but Ableton start Nome and SP1200 with a one bar delay.
So If A.PL is set to Both ( BoT) than it works both directions Nome-->Ableton , Ableton---> Nome start wihout delay.
Thank you Simon for a tip to look into Autoplay !
2)
The Sync works but i am noticing that the 1st hit of the 1st bar is always tiny bit later than say few bars in ..
it is visible in the detailed zoom in in ableton and actually causing a phasing if i track out track by track ..
its like a slow midi clock drift .. or rather the very first start point .
Anyone noticed that on other samplers or drum machines?
here are the screenshots of the same kick drum on the 1st bar , 3rd bar and a 4th bar
notice that there is a drift
