Re: Software (U-Sync) doesnt connect to Midronome
Hi :) Thanks for asking here. If you can give us more information on what's happening it would help a lot. My first thought: is your device upgraded to FW 3.0? If so, could you please try the following: Unplug your Midronome Open the Audio MIDI Setup, in the MIDI Devices window, delete anything with...

Re: software won't open
Hi :) UPG with green light means everything is good on the hardware side: you are running the new bootloader and the green light indicates it connects fine to your computer. All you're missing is reloading the Midronome FW. Windows is unfortunately not very good at giving error messages, so this cou...

Re: Stop the midi clock output?
Hi Simon, Tobi here piling on to this threat as many before, any updates regarding this topic? I spent 2 hour searching through the forums etc. because i thought i lost the 24.p.p because of a faulty firmware update only to find out that firmware update 3.0 got rid of it and i still cant wrap my he...

Re: Syncing Bitwig to Midronome
Ahh, that's nice to hear - that was an easy one! :)) No you will still need MIDI over USB if you want to send MIDI notes for example to your devices through the Midronome. The only conflict here was sending MIDI Clock to the Midronome. The MIDI Clock messages are actually ignored by the Midronome, b...

Re: Syncing Bitwig to Midronome
Hi
Can you check you are not sending MIDI Start or MIDI Clock to the Midronome over USB (to "Midronome Commands")?
That would create this type of strange behavior.

Re: Stop the midi clock output?
Do you think this is something that will roll out relatively soon in the next small patch or firmware update? Hi Rob :) Yes I understand, that does not sound fun. How would you imagine this feature should work in practice? How often would you need to switch the clock on/off? My idea was a setting &...

Re: Midronome not following DAW tempo w/ U-SYNC
Hi Victor! Well that's amazing news, thanks for sharing, that will definitely be useful for anyone who has the issue :) As to why this is happening, well the only way another software can interfere with U-SYNC is by sending some audio to the "Midronome-do-not-use" audio interface. Maybe th...

Re: Bitwig Studio: Clock is not sent when recording is armed + play is triggered
Hi Jonathan, thanks for writing here. Can you please look at the display and the "PLAY" button LED when you press play: does the display show "PLA" and does the play button LED turn on? And is the "Locked" LED on when the DAW is playing? Compare these between Ableton an...

Re: Midronome not following DAW tempo w/ U-SYNC
Alright very strange, never seen an issue like this except during conflicts after upgrading from beta to final 1.0 - but then a cleanup always solved it. Sorry you have to experience this, but I am sure we will get to the bottom of it! I changed the sample rate both on the DAW as well as the setting...

Re: Midronome not following DAW tempo w/ U-SYNC
Actually - just one simple test: on the device, press the "SETUP" button and the Locked LED should blink slowly
If this works at least we know the Locked LED does work and has not died or something.

Re: Midronome not following DAW tempo w/ U-SYNC
I haven't touched the device since setting up with the beta VST + firmware 2.9.0 but might be a good sanity check :) Well the FW should definitely be updated to 3.0 but you said you did that already? You'll need the Firmware Updater software + the FW 3.0 file - see https://simntonic.com/support/ Ch...

Re: Midronome not following DAW tempo w/ U-SYNC
Ok, interesting! Then I'd say there is nothing wrong with the installation, that part seems checked. Clearly the problem is the communication between the Daemon and the Midronome, since the Daemon says it can find the Midronome, it probably "thinks" it is sending data to it but my guess is...

Re: Midronome not following DAW tempo w/ U-SYNC
Hi Victor - thanks for writing here :) This does sound strange indeed. Are you sure you uninstalled the beta version correctly, including the Daemon ? Using the beta daemon with the 1.0 VST would in fact give those kind of weird behaviors. The Locked LED on the plugin should always match the Locked ...

Very good point
I agree - those adapters will keep the same red color - it would not match with the rest of the device anyways

Re: Will Midronome 1 get future firmware updates?
Yes for now all firmware updates will come for both devices. At some point Nome I (Midronome) will start to be outphased. But don't worry, not anytime soon, and it will be a slow process, and I will make sure to warn you at least 6 or 12 months before the end of support. And who knows by that point ...

Re: Differences Nome II vs Midronome?
Hi, and thank you :) About the differences, not really. The only things are: The Nome II can do more with lights since each button has a multicolor LED underneath. The add-on module interface has changed - the idea is to release add-ons that will only work with the new interface, and to provide an a...

Hi :) Have you checked this topic? https://forum.midronome.com/viewtopic.php?t=406 I already verified that the PC are sent correctly by the device. Re: ROADMAP for Firmware 4.0
Well an ETA for start of FW 4.0 dev should be middle of November, maybe a bit before. Then for release I am sorry, I cannot give an ETA until I've started working on the smart tap tempo as it might be a bit of a challenge. The other features should go quite fast and I'll do them first. If the tap te...

Hi Johnny
Yes that should work perfectly fine - I do it regularly.
No benefits or disadvantages, it's just converting the plug, at the signal level everything is the same

Re: ROADMAP for Firmware 4.0
I know, there has been many delays. Major causes are U-SYNC for Windows and the new batch which is not only a batch but a new revision of everything including new branding ("Nome II"...), so lots to do there.
Plan is to get started on Firmware 4.0 as soon as the new batch is ready

Hi - as I have mentioned on the Facebook group, and being fully transparent here: U-SYNC for Windows might just never be a reality.
