Re: Tempo detection from actual audio beat
Something that can follow an actual beat from a real drummer would be a game changer. I played with software implementations of that and it never really worked well enough to use live. What I am thinking of doing is to map a key on my keyboard to send a click that is used to sync arpeggios and step ...

Re: MIDI Forwarding: receive MIDI Notes from USB and send them further
I have enough MIDI widgets (merger boxes, filter boxes) that the current Midronome would work for me just as a clock source. But for many people they would need some MIDI in.The MIDIgal (with MidiClk or Midisync firmware) works like that: it has a MIDI in and MIDI out (but no USB, which sucks for my...

Re: usb c
I don’t mind USB C. But one potential issue with it is that a usb c socket can be host or device - and that increases risk of misuse. USB B is only a device port so the use case is much clearer. If the Midronome was to behave as a host as well as a device then USB C would make sense. But if it’s goi...

There's a powered USB hub plugged into the Bome Box into which I plug all the controllers with USB MIDI (Novation Sl mk2 and mk3, Arturia Beatstep etc) as well as an iConnectivity m...
Re: Gear pics
Now you understand why I need a good MIDI clock source
Gear pics
My electronic music studio for both songwriting and DAWless jamming. Yes, I have a bit of a gear addiction. I promise I'm going to sell something soon to make room for more:

Re: Send MIDI Clock from the USB port
I also support MIDI clock over USB. I use a Bome Box as the centre of my MIDI studio and it has only one DIN port which is already in use, but it allows for a large number of USB devices hooked through a powered hub. Ideally I'd like to have the Midronome offer two USB virtual ports over the one USB...
