Re: Sleep? Or pulling the Plug?

That's an amazing idea, thank you! I love the simplicity, and since it's an external part it does not affect the users who do not need the functionality! :D I actually plan on making a few cables for the Sim'n Tonic webshop so that people can order simple adapters which I often hear are missing (som...

Re: Midronome Add-on Modules!

Hope this does not mean, that modules are not coming to Nome I?! They are, but you will need an adapter. The adapter will come as a replacement back metal plate, so that the device still looks the same (color will also be the current red) but has the same module interface as Nome II. And noted abou...

Re: U-SYNC: control DAW tempo from Nome

Bravo! It is awesome to see this progress! It works super well controlling within .01 BPM of accuracy. Thanks for sharing this hidden feature! I look forward to the future possibility to control Ableton's tempo even while the transport is still playing. Thanks again!! Just to be clear: the missing ...

Re: Nome II - before I purchase, can it do this?

Hi John, welcome to the community! Thanks for the interest and for asking here! :D Short answer : no, you will get very similar results with the Nome. The resync will be much better when you move the playhead around in Cubase (especially with U-SYNC if you're on Mac), but it will only make sure thin...

U-SYNC get confused when connecting multiple Nomes

Status : this will be solved in a future release (probably FW 4.1?) and the plan is to also allow the sync between multiple Nomes even when U-SYNC is used. This way you can sync multiple Nomes by doing: DAW -> U-SYNC -> USB cable -> Nome #1 -> audio cable -> Nome #2 + #3 + #4 etc. ---- When connect...

Re: Ability to slow down the MIDI Clock

Sorry, I mean to have it boot up in the ""Adv" + "Mi2" screen Oh I see, this is interesting. The list simply saves what was the last setting you modified (both in the "basic" and "advanced" list), so when you open the settings again you go back to where ...

Re: Ability to slow down the MIDI Clock

Awesome :)

I'm not sure what you mean with "boot up in this mode by default"? All settings including this one are saved in the device, so if you set it once it will stay wherever you set it before at next reboot ;) Does that answer your question?

Hi, I just wanted to flag that I have had the same issue with Win 11 and firmware update. Thanks for the info. Could you please check the same steps I wrote for Dave (MIDI devices and MIDI interfaces)? And did you manage to do it by force-starting the bootloader? See the Troubleshooting section in ...

Hi victor,

Thanks once again for that great find as it seems quite a few people have had the same issue :)
Just FYI it seems the issue is solved on the latest version - see viewtopic.php?p=2568#p2568

Re: Midronome Add-on Modules!

Hi Simon, picking up on this again after many months away from my studio, could you provide any more detail on potential designs for the 'tap tempo' / NO / NC triggering module we were discussing on this thread ? As in you would want to make your own custom module? Nice :D You'd the be first! With ...

Re: [RELEASED] Firmware 4.0

Could be user error, but I didn't see instructions to first put the device into bootloader mode BEFORE running the firmware updater. I'd already updated the bootloader for 3.1, so am assuming I don't need to again. Yes that's correct, you should not need to start the bootloader - the new one is sma...

Re: Midrinome U-SYNC Ableton 12 issues

Awesome, thank you so much for the info!
I will add the info to the Nome manual ;)

U-SYNC is heavily relying on CoreAudio, so I am not surprised that changing the CoreAudio driver affects it.

Re: U-SYNC in Pro Tools - lost comm after saving while playing

Alright I tested this, there is definitely a slight issue. In my session it does not happen every time (about 1 out of 5), and if I open the U-SYNC AAX plugin it says "This DAW is not supported". Daemon and AMS are all fine, nothing changed there (which makes sense, it's just Pro Tools and...

Re: ROADMAP for firmware 5.0

Thanks Dave that is very useful info! I'm not sure this has anything to do with ASIO (audio) though as it seems to be MIDI only? Though I also heard Microsoft plans on improving the audio layer of Windows (halleluia - it only took 15 years). In any case that is great news about the MIDI device names...

Re: [RELEASED] Firmware 4.0

EDIT: Nope. A new cable directly from the PC didn't make a difference. I can't update the Midronome from firmware 3.0 using the new 4.0 firmware updater. What message do you get? And what Windows version are you using? From 3.0 you should get a message that says you need to upgrade the bootloader f...

Re: Custom metronome click sounds

Hi all - just some thoughts here: what do you guys think about the current click sounds? The audio driver of the device is pretty limited, since it was never designed to play actual audio but simple click sounds: it runs at 32kHz and 16bits, and most of the lows are cut. I also limited the length of...

Re: Midrinome U-SYNC Ableton 12 issues

Hi :) Sorry to hear about the trouble - but I am sure we can sort it quickly. What does the U-SYNC daemon shows? And when you press Play in your DAW, does your Midronome's "Locked" LED turn on? (it should match the "Locked" LED on the plugin). Are you also on the latest firmware?...

Thank you for reporting :) I have to say though I am a bit confused about what the problem is. Are you speaking about MIDI CC 66 (Sostenuto pedal)?
