Re: Tell Midronome to Stop drum machine?
I haven't tried the beta software, but I added a USB switch to route Midronome through either the mioXM host port or the computer directly. When connected to the host port, Software devices listed in Windows Device Manager are as I mentioned earlier. When connected directly to the computer, a MIDI O...

Re: Tell Midronome to Stop drum machine?
It would be interesting to see if mioXM reacts similarly to the new firmware as does macOS.

"why CC 103 doesn't transmit through the Midronome host port of mioXM "
Should have said,
"why CC 103 is not received via the Midronome host port of mioXM"

Re: Tell Midronome to Stop drum machine?
I really don't know what, or rather which instance, to delete from Device Manager, which I assume means uninstall, unplug, then replug the unit to clean it. However, I was still on firmware version 1.61 so I updated to 2.0. This likely has the same (or better) effect of cleaning the installation. Wo...

Re: Tell Midronome to Stop drum machine?
Probably my problem is because I have Midronome plugged into a USB Host port of the iConnectivity mioXM MIDI interface. Midronome MIDI 1 sends RealTime to mioXM DIN Input 4, mioXM routes Midronome RealTime to other attached hardware via DIN ports as well as to computer via mioXM USB DAW port. The co...

Tell Midronome to Stop drum machine?
Should I be able to send a message to Midronome telling it to Stop? Midronome is master clock to my "DAW" over USB and my drum machine over DIN. When I get to three measures prior to the end of this tune, I am sending CC# 103 val. 11 from DAW to Midronome over Channel 12. This doesn't stop...

Re: Tempo strangely switching to 120bpm
Simon,
I originally posted this problem in the beta forum because I had just upgraded to v1.50 and thought this might have been a result of that.
My mistake. Issue resolved.

Re: Tempo strangely switching to 120bpm
The tune I chose for testing v1.50 has a control channel 12 that sends CC87 val. 60 to Midronome, which of course overrides the knob setting.
I overlooked that bit of information.
A value of 60 equates to 120 BPM since 0-127 equates to 60-187.

Tempo strangely switching to 120bpm
Technical issues here.
Midronome switches to 120 BPM after starting 1st measure off at 105.
No All Notes Off with Stop.
Have tried firmware 1.50 (beta firmware), 1.1, and 1.0 which is where everything worked to start with but not anymore.
Need to reselect something in settings?

Re: “All MIDI notes off” function
In response to the Voting Page - Something Else.
Send the MIDI message All Notes Off over all channels every time Midronome Stop is pressed.
Although not essential in my opinion, MIDI Data Forwarding might be the avenue for this (see above), so it's also getting one of my votes.
Thanks

[DONE] Sync File Generator - 16bit option
Starting this new topic in response to the Voting Page - Something Else. I would like to have the option of generating the file in 44.1kHz 16bits , as this is what my software sequencer wants. I think this is already in the pipeline. I've tried converting the 24 bit audio file to 16 bit, but am gett...

Re: “All MIDI notes off” function
The Roland manuals describe All Sounds Off (Controller number 120) under Channel Mode Messages (implying that the devices respond to it), but it is oddly omitted from the implementation tables (so maybe not). "When this message is received, all notes currently sounding on the corresponding chan...

Re: “All MIDI notes off” function
Would it be just as well to send All Notes Off along with Stop every time? In external sync mode, my sequencer software responds well to Midronome, i.e., starts, follows, & stops, as do my hardware sequencers. And at the end of a tune, it sends All Notes Off to the sound modules. But when I pres...

Re: iConnectivity mioXM / mioXL
Here's what I found. In some cases, it is necessary to reset Finale's Preferences files in order for changes in software device naming to be recognized. This is in fact true of mioXM in that after changing port names you have uninstall and reboot it in order for the changes to be recognized by Devic...

Re: iConnectivity mioXM / mioXL
Actually, that doesn't make sense.
If Midronome is not plugged directly into the computer, then Device Manager cannot see those options.
I think.
Will have to experiment with it yet some more to know, I suppose.

Re: iConnectivity mioXM / mioXL
The symptom is that the mioXM isn't sending the Start signal. When setting up the Host port(s), mio doesn't present a list of software devices to choose from. This applies to the three Midronome devices. In the iConnectivity control application Auracle, I name the mio ports, DIN and Hosts, according...

Is iConnectivity Host function compatible with Midronome?
I'm using the Midronome's Audio Sync feature and have had to connect its USB directly to the computer, as it isn't wanting to work through the mioXM Host port.

Re: Feature request & reups
Great news about the 16 bits! I am so sorry; I've been chasing other vendor issues and as a result have messed around with it too little to date to recall that additional bars can be added at other tempos. That is fantastic! Okay, so a 3/4 at 120 BPM would be at 240 BPM a 3/8? I meant when using the...

Re: Current features - your thoughts
When using the sync track, I would like for Midronome to send Start over MIDI DIN after the one bar sync is established, at the actual start point of the tune. One limitation of the software I'm using is that it either sends Start over USB immediately or not at all. I'm not sure whether there is a c...

The one unique (I think) request, which I believe Simon already has in mind, is the option to generate the sync file at a depth of 16 bits. Another that I've seen discussed somewhere, in multiple threads I think, yet not on the list https://forum.midronome.com/viewtopic.php?p=134#p134 is varying tem...

Re: cannot place this type of file - What's the difference?
Yes, while it is substantially more than a score editor, I do seem to have a knack for bumping into its limitations.
Glad to hear adding 16 bits is not a big deal. I'm looking forward to it!
Thank you, Simon.

Re: cannot place this type of file - What's the difference?

What sample rate are you bouncing these files at? I would recommend boun...

cannot place this type of file - What's the difference?
To be fair, I don't know if this is a Midronome issue or a Finale bug. Finale accepts the E-RM sync file but rejects the Midronome sync file. I just sent the following to Finale support, and I think you'll see what I mean: What is the difference between these files? The error message is: Finale cann...

I'm posting this question as a reply because my background information is in the thread above. This question is about Audio Sync. Signature required? & DAW transport
I use Finale notation software to send note data, program change, and control change to external MIDI hardware sound modules and drum machines. A couple of live instrument effects processors rely on sync clock for echo delay timing, etc. as do the drum machines and a sequencer. Much like a DAW I exp...
