Re: “All MIDI notes off” function
"When All Notes Off is received, all notes on the corresponding channel will be turned off. However, if Hold 1 or Sostenuto is ON, the sound will be continued until these are turned off." This is actually what the MIDI spec asks for. http://midi.teragonaudio.com/tech/midispec/ntnoff.htm h...

Re: Tempo presets
A preset will contain only the tempo and the time signature. In case swing/shuffle gets implemented IMHO it should be stored in a preset as well. For me the analog clock time divisions (or the possibly implemented start/stop feature) are also settings I'd find useful to be able to recall. I'd sacri...

FYI: Syncing the MPC One with the "real" MIDI in works like a charm. No lagging or jittering.

Re: MIDI clock to USB class compliant hardware
I have tested the MIDI sync from USB with an MPC One and the results are not good. The MPC needs about 8 beats (I simply did a four on the floor and nothing else) to get up to speed. The BPM seems indeed to be higher than indicated by the display. But the real problem is that the MPC cannot hold the...

Re: Why is the TRS labelled "CV"?
The documentation for the TRS of the Keystep and the Drumbrute Impacts says only "Clock pulse and start/stop". The manuals says nothing about "continue" or "pause". The documentation for the Keystep Pro OTOH has something to say about "pause": [the Beastep Pro...

Re: "Sync Signal Contents" questions
which is the signal generated by the Midronome VST plugin. The device uses the higher pulse to know when the bar starts and will currently not work without this. But if you just want to sync the tempo, I could easily make a mode where it syncs to a 24 ppq signal, or even a "any" ppq signa...

Re: Sync to any regular signal (pulses) from 1ppq to 24ppq
This feature is about having the possibility to slave the Midronome to any regular pulses, either sent by a CV gate output, or by an audio output, from 1ppqn to 24ppqn. Many hardware synths allow syncing to 48ppq (eg devices from Arturia or Behringer). And man, wake up! In 2022 we don't use the wor...

Re: Latency adjustment
Hi! I'm really interested in buying Midronome, but negative MIDI clock offset is a must for me. Why? There are only two ports and I don't see the difference between 0 offset paired positive one and a 0 offset paired with a negative one. Just let the slow devices use 0 offset and let the fast ones g...

Re: (web based) Sysex editor/configurator
Of course it is possible to write a configurator for Midronome that sends its data as sysex commands. You don't even need to connect Midronome via USB. Any MIDI port attached to the PC will do. If it is web based note that Safari and iOS browser won't work. Safari, which is based on WebKit, will not...

Re: Midrorack - A Eurorack version of Midronome :D
Another use case for CV: different accent, ie voltage, patterns for the signals. Some drum modules have inputs that are voltage sensitive (eg accent inputs Tiptop's 808/909 clones).

[*] at least 4 CV clock out, each of them configurable at different PPQ, and each with a start button CV outputs want to be used as LFOs. And with being digital controlled they can go beyound the classic wave forms (sine, triangle, ramp up/down, square). Eg "pulse width" for all forms. Ra...

Re: Midrorack - A Eurorack version of Midronome :D
You don't need multiple clock outs, and a simple clock dividers can give you that. I disagree. I would need to add 3 clock dividers which take up space and cost extra money while within Midrorack I get them for "free". With Midrorack I (so my assumption) I can also get offbeat trigger sig...

Re: Current features - your thoughts
And just so it's clear: the device does not follow the drummer beat, you actually need to tap the tempo like you would on a tap tempo button. That was clear, thank you. And regarding the USB power, you can simply use a USB phone charger if you do not want to plug it in your computer. The advantage ...

Re: Offset and time signature
Well, I meant with 0.25 ppq and the offset you can get an arbitrary single hit anywhere within a measure.
But a random value setting the chance that a click will be sent would of course be fun.

Re: Offset and time signature
The offset would come handy if you want one off the clocks to tick off-beat (eg for house/techno open-hats 1ppq shifted an 8th).
If you could set the clock rate even slower you can do back-beats at 2 and 4 (0.5 ppq). At 0.25 ppq we get a single click at an arbitrary position within the measure.

Re: Current features - your thoughts
I like and need the fact the the clock pulses for modular synths. I'd love to see the tap tempo from pad work out. So the dream of playing live with the tempo set by the drummer gets real. Are there any cheap devices out there? The band has "only" a real kit. I'm not so keen to add another...

On a stroll today it came to my mind that it would work out like that.
So to spare me the maths (and confuse my old brain), the UI could name the musical terms along with the ppq

[DONE] different even and odd time divisions for the CV-clock
One pulse could run straight 32rds and the other 16th triplets. With clock dividers in the rack and logic modules you can then do rhythms with triplets and hemiolas. AFAIK the MIDI clock is built around mutliples of 12 to allow for quadruple and triple meters as 12 is divisible by 4 and 3. So techni...

Re: Why is the TRS labelled "CV"?
A label on the back on is the least of the troubles you can have with any gear :) I thought about clock too. Actually sequencer modules use that term for their, well, clock input jack. So "sync/clock" would match for DIN sync synths and Eurorack sequencers. The term CV is usually used for ...

Re: CV-clock start/stop and 48ppq
For Eurorack either a dual pulse or a start/stop signal is useful. Could you precise what you mean by start/stop signal? Do you mean the same signal as the one on the ring in the DIN sync spec (" Ring | start/stop | stop = 0 volt, start = +5 volt " as explained on https://en.wikipedia.org...
