Re: Mute button follows Play button
Switching with a pedal works great. Even freely alternating with the MIDI Start/Stop CC#.

Re: Tempo presets
If/when presets are implemented, there will definitely be a possibility to change preset via a MIDI CC Command, I think the "Song Select" message will suit perfectly for that. I'm looking forward to being able to switch the tempo/beat presets with all possible hardware live without a comp...

Re: [RELEASED] Firmware 3.0 & U-SYNC 1.0
Thanks for all the work and the great update, Simon!
I know that there are complex advances involved (U Sync, etc.),
but the "Start via MIDI CC" makes me happy right now.

Re: [DONE] Start the Midronome with a MIDI CC# (MIDI Start)
Didn't see that - thanks for the tip!the "Mute button follows Play button" feature it will be enough to send a start/stop command.
This requires an extra foot switch, but sounds like an extremely simple and reliable solution.
And thank you for your explanations!

Re: [DONE] Start the Midronome with a MIDI CC# (MIDI Start)
Just tested with the hardware. The Midronome responds nicely to everything, except of course the start command that is coming in fw3.0 So nice, that this is possible now (=then)! In fact, a controller needs some slots to tell the midronome exactly what to do...: 1. CC# for Midi Start Port X 2. CC# f...

Re: [DONE] Start the Midronome with a MIDI CC# (MIDI Start)
wow, I couldn't look that fast - Thank you, Simon!! I find this super helpful, as it makes it possible to integrate the Midronome, especially automatically/using controllers/hardware. Out of interest: Is there a reason why the start CC# are split differently than stop/continue? Start value 20 = Port...

[DONE] Start the Midronome with a MIDI CC# (MIDI Start)
It would be nice to START the Midronome with a CC# (this would complete the already implemented features with MIDI continue and Midi Stop via CC#). Unfortunately, not all MIDI devices are able to send MIDI start and it is even not always easy to set up in the DAW. This has already been discussed her...

Re: How to send tempo/start/stop to Midronome from hardware?
Ok, now I have a small but crucial problem: I can "rewind" the midronome and always start with beat 1 by pressing the play button after a stop. But how can this be done by sending CC# to it? I found CC103 with values 1 and 2, but this results in the cycle continuing and I have to wait for ...

Re: How to send tempo/start/stop to Midronome from hardware?
Hi Simon, It's nice to see you so much here, even though you're certainly busy with the 3.0 beta... That can't be appreciated enough! I hope this info helps someone with a similar setup: I now have the Midronome tied via USB to my host box (Primova Sound MIDX-20), which listens on its DIN MIDI ports...

Re: How to send tempo/start/stop to Midronome from hardware?
Thank you Simon,
ok, I'll try out how/if it works with my Midi Host Box...just where is it...?
In any case, starting with Reset On aka "rewind" would be a suitable option for me.
Even if that works, count me as waiting for Add on Modules

How to send tempo/start/stop to Midronome from hardware?
Hello, Unfortunately I haven't found an idea here on the forum (yet): I would like to give the Midronome tempo/start/stop signals from hardware (e.g. master keyboard, midi controller...). According to Manual "4.3 - Midronome Commands" it can receive tempo instructions via CC on Ch 12, but ...

Re: module extension
Hi, I would like to throw in a different view. Yes, firmware updates via USB seems to be a really good idea for us users and also for you, I guess. If you think about having a basic version plus a dongle for extension, you might also consider 2 versions, a basic and an advanced one with additional f...

Mark different beats in the bar with LED/sound
(as allready mentioned under "presets" topic) I guess, this makes especially sense in the use of presets in live use, as it needs programming beforehand: Long bars can be internally divided differently (simple example: 7/4 = 3+2+2 or 2+2+3 ...), or a series of different bars 4/4 + 4/4 +4/4...

Metronome tempo presets via MIDI PC# messages
Would be great if one could send MIDI PC# commands to the device to recall stored BPM/bars. Here I have a USB-MIDI cable interface from ESI, which recognizes itself on which port data is being received/sent. In this sense, it would of course be nice if one of the Midronome's MIDI outs could be switc...

Re: Tempo presets
Thank you for your prompt reply. Long bars can be internally divided differently (simple example: 5/4 = 3+2 or 2+3), or a series of different bars 4/4 + 4/4 +4/4 + 5/4 could be programmed to the midronome as one 17/4 bar. Then it would be nice to mark the subdivisions with, for example, a brighter o...

Re: Tempo presets
Hello, let me start right away with the wishes, because everything that is already planned seems well thought out and executed to me. :-) Yes presets would be a good thing for me for live use because it's a quick fix, easy to use and serves the tempo agreed beforehand with everyone involved. For me ...
